Overview

We want you to feel confident when ordering from Maison Margarita. Our returns process is designed to be clear, fair and aligned with the requirements of our delivery partners and suppliers. This policy applies to all furniture purchased through our store.

Some items may be available on backorder. When this applies, the estimated lead time will be clearly displayed on the product page before purchase. Backorder items follow the same return and cancellation rules outlined below unless otherwise stated.

1. When Returns Are Accepted:

We accept returns for the following reasons:

  • The item arrives damaged
  • The item is faulty
  • The item received is incorrect

All returns must be approved before collection.
We do not accept change‑of‑mind returns.
Please review all product details and measurements carefully before placing your order.

Backorder items follow the same return rules as standard orders. Extended lead times do not qualify as a fault unless they exceed the timeframe stated at purchase.

2. Reporting Damages or Issues:

If your item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Email contact@maisonmargarita.co.uk with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue
  • Photos of the packaging (if applicable)

Once reviewed, we will arrange a replacement or an appropriate resolution.

3. Return Conditions:

For any authorised return:

  • Items must be unused, unassembled, and in their original packaging
  • Returns must be collected from the original delivery address
  • Items must be ready for collection on the agreed date
  • A restocking or handling fee may apply depending on supplier terms

Backorder items must meet the same return conditions as standard orders.We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

4. Cancellations:

Orders may be cancelled within 48 hours of being placed.

After 48 hours, cancellation may not be possible if the order has already been processed for dispatch. If the order has been dispatched, you (the buyer) will be responsible for any return shipping costs.

Backorder items:

Backorder items are temporarily out of stock but scheduled for restock. The estimated dispatch timeframe for backorder items is 45–60 business days (8–12 weeks) from the date of your order, depending on supplier availability and restock schedules.

Backorder items can be cancelled before supplier processing begins. Once the supplier has allocated stock or started preparing the order, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Backorder items are not made‑to‑order unless explicitly stated on the product page.

5. Refunds:

Refunds are issued once the returned item has been received and inspected by our warehouse or supplier.

Please note:

  • Refunds can only be processed to the original payment method
  • Delivery charges and remote area surcharges are non‑refundable
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after inspection

If a backorder is cancelled before production begins, the refund will be processed in full.

6. Non‑Returnable Items:

Unless faulty, damaged or incorrect, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Made‑to‑order or customised items 
  • Assembled or used items
  • Items without original packaging
  • Clearance or final‑sale items
